2008 F1 Season Highlights

- 11 teams, 22 drivers — Super Aguri folded after Round 4 (Spain), reducing the grid for the remainder of the season
- Lewis Hamilton wins his first World Championship by 1 point over Felipe Massa, decided at the final corner of the final race in Brazil — Massa won the race but Hamilton passed Glock for P5 on the last lap to take the title
- Sebastian Vettel's first F1 win at Monza for Toro Rosso, becoming the youngest race winner in F1 history at the time
- Inaugural Singapore Grand Prix — the first ever F1 night race
- Ferrari wins the Constructors' Championship (Massa + Räikkönen)
- Last year of Honda F1 — the team withdrew at end of season and was bought by Ross Brawn, becoming Brawn GP for 2009
- Same 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 top-8 points system as 2009 — the penultimate year before F1's modern 25-18-15 overhaul
- No Sprint races, no fastest lap bonus point
